Hey is anyone listening?

Conversation is a two-way street.

  • Are you the garbage truck; full of garbage and lumbering through the conversation?
  • Are you the street sweeper; collecting all the tidbits, and sweeping them up in your comments to leave the street neat clean (Disregarding other’s truths)?
  • Are you the Volkswagen; small and leaving little of yourself behind?
  • Are you the motorcycle; zipping in and out of the conversation, no time to talk today, always in a hurry?
  • Are you the Hummer or the Jaguar; drawing attention to your importance and knowledge?

Joyce admits to her audience of being all of these at one time or another. But, now she is working harder at being the mini van, the updated version of mother’s station wagon, room for her scooter without cramping her style, maybe with 4 WD, after all she’s from MN, and on occasion she needs to plow through 20” of snow.

This lighthearted look at communication skills leaves Joyce’s audience evaluating their own place on the two-way conversation street, and what truly makes an effective and gratifying exchange on the street.

Joyce’s greatest asset as a professional speaker is her amazing ability to interact with her audiences with humor and honesty. Attendees of her programs walk away feeling that not only have they received a strong message worth considering, but it was delivered by a very open friend.

Joyce began her speaking career in 1997 as a spokesperson for the Ready for Success program. She has developed her unique style from spokesperson... marketing her skills to a niche market.... and now to sharing her motivational story with an even wider audience.

“Joyce is an engaging and adept speaker, intimate yet professional in her delivery. Though her achievements are considerable she remains approachable; demonstrating a hard earned, self-confidence underscored by self-effacing yet assured sense of humor. She is a skilled communicator, adept in her abilities to instruct, entertain and inspire an audience.”
